ABOUT US
Eye see you "A Movement of Respect, Recognition, and Unity.”
About Us
Together, let’s change the way we connect with one another by doing no harm, showing kindness to one another, giving respect, and offering acknowledgment. Eye see you is a group of Black men and Black women who quietly choose to say I see you to each other. I acknowledge you. I understand your journey. I understand your trials and tribulations. I know what you went through to get where you are today.
Eye see you. I respect you and I wish you well on your journey. Eye See You is not political or racist group and has no hidden agenda. We are simply Black people choosing to acknowledge, honor, and uplift one another. No matter who you love or where you are, our mission is respect, unity, and recognition. It does not matter whether you are married to a White person, a Latino, an Indian, or a Jewish person. You love whom you love. What matters is that as a Black man or a Black woman, we reach out and respect one another.
Visibility is Power. Eye See You.
EyeSeeYou
Eye See You is simply a community built on respect, love, and acknowledgment for our Black brothers and sisters.
Eye See You is a movement rooted in mutual respect. It does not matter who you love or where you live, what matters is that as Black men and women, we choose to reach out, uplift, and respect one another. Together we say… Eye See You.
Global Presence
Black People are Everywhere
Black people are everywhere, across continents, across cultures, and across history. We have always been present, making contributions to societies, and thriving.
When Russia invaded Ukraine, we discovered that Black men and women were living and studying there. In Russia, it is estimated that 30,000 Afro Russians are currently living there. Africans arrived in India as early as the 4th century. Some became rulers known as the Siddis or Habshis, thus explaining why there are dark-skinned Indians even today.
Blacks are in Italy, Sweden, Australia, Germany, Denmark and Scotland, thus contributing to various cultures, arts and societies.
Did you know?
Yasuke was the first Black Samurai in Japan during the Sengoku period, proving once again: Black people are everywhere.
SADLY THOUGH...
According to the Implicit Association Test (IAT), many Black Americans have a strong preference for European Americans. That is a sterile way of saying that some Blacks in America are biased against their own people. For many people, that could be unsettling. After all, the United States is a nation which aspires not to judge individuals ‘by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character’.
We at Eye See You want to change the way some Black American brothers and sisters interact with one another by first doing no harm, secondly respect one another, thirdly, acknowledge one another and show kindness.
Let’s make the change, and remember visibility is power.
